This art print features a piece I created in 2020 as part of a series of watercolor illustrations about the feeling and experience of being “othered.”

Since then, watermelon imagery has become synonymous with expressing support for the struggle that Palestinians are facing during the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. While this piece wasn’t made with that intention, it feels strange right now to share anything with watermelon imagery outside of that context. While getting ready to release this new print, I decided that profits on sales of this particular print should be donated to provide aid for Palestinians who are struggling. I’ll be donoating those profits to Palestine Childrens’ Relief Fund.
